Blizzards in August

Luke was backed into a wall....

But he soon figured out he could push back. ;) Alex and Luke were really getting along. It was fun to watch them play together.

Luke showing off his walking skillz to Grandma.

He had to clap for himself afterward.

Alex found Kimberly's doll....

He decided to share.
Luke: "Uh...no thanks, I'm good."

Most of the Blizzard cousins, only little Alex is missing.

Oops, there he is!

"Do I have something on my face?"

All washed up and looking handsome!

Alex: "Who are you?"

Our newest addition, Louie the Pony. Yes, I know we have spoiled children but Kimberly loves her so much. She says, "Mom, Louie is my bestfriend!"

Kim's Big Day

So the day of Kimberly's surgery arrived yesterday. She needed to get 4 teeth extracted, 2 silver crowns, about 3 fillings, and sealants put on the rest of the molars. She wasn't able to eat or drink anything after midnight the night before so I spent all morning trying to explain to her why she couldn't have breakfast or water. Ryan came home and we drove to North Richland Hills. It was a long way to drive for a hospital but we were able to drop Luke off at Grandma and Grandpa's house. Then we waited for a crazy long time in the waiting room. Finally they came out and squirted something up Kim's nose. She was so upset and immediately wanted to go home but soon the stuff made her relax and a little goofy. She became all giggly and silly before a nurse came and carried her off. After a while they were done but they told us Kimberly was still waking up. I heard a baby crying and I told Ryan, "I don't think that sounds like Kim...Too young of a cry." But it turned out to be her crying inconsolably. All she wanted was for me to rock her but the nurse insisted she try to drink something. I finally got her to take her sippy cup which she promptly threw up. Then the nurse said she needed to take Motrin. Kimberly fought that so bad! Struggling, kicking, gagging, spitting it out, and once we finally got her to swallow it and burst into tears crying, "I want to go hoooooome!" Needless to say my heart was broken. She slept most of the way home but when she woke up she was much better and happier. Just a little "out of it" but still happy. Anyway, we got her home and she just relaxed on the couch watching "Paulie" and eating mac and cheese. She slept well last night and this morning she seems completely back to her old self. I don't ever want to have to go through that. The moral of this story is, "Don't put your kids to bed with Apple Juice. It will rot their teeth."

More Day 2
I think I should get my paint roller out for the trunk of the tree to make it go faster.
